The Fairbanks North Star Borough Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) is a comprehensive guide to mitigating wildfire risks within the city. This plan outlines strategies to reduce fire hazards, protect residents and property, and improve wildfire response capabilities. The CWPP is a collaborative effort involving local agencies, residents, and stakeholders, working together to create a safer and more resilient community in the face of wildfire threats. The CWPP for the Fairbanks North Star Borough was completed in June 2025. The final products include, CWPP Main Document, Appendix A: Community Hazard Ratings, Appendix B: Home Ignitability Recommendations, Appendix C: Methodology, Appendix D: Mitigation Recommendations, and Appendix E: Community Outreach, along with many interactive maps that will remain available on this site for the 5 year life of this CWPP.
