Recommend leaving habitat trees and area. However, highly recommend reducing the surrounding fuel load (considering small fire break), and remove any dead and down limbs on the ground. Protect habitat and try to prevent from igniting by reducing fuel loads around it. Will create a fuel break where grass is reduced 2-3 inches up to 15 ft away from the trees. The remaining grass can be cut 6-8 inches.
